Sports Funding Courses for Sports Clubs and Sports Development Professionals

We offer a range of accredited fundraising courses for Sports Clubs and a Level 4 Sports Funding Advisers Award for the Sports Development industry. Clubs have a choice between two short courses and our six week Certificate in Sports Funding. All courses are brought to you in association with RMS Sports Consultants, based on successful case studies from rugby, rowing, hockey and netball, and are accredited by the NCFE.

The Certificate in Sports Funding (Sept 13 – Oct 22 ONLY)

The only accredited course specifically designed for Sports Clubs involved in pursuing grant applications for club development and sports development initiatives. Case studies and practical assignments cover small and large grant opportunities and how to prepare a good application. Please note the Certificate will be offered to Clubs in two parts from October onwards.

The Sports Funding Advisers Award

Are your Clubs getting their fair share of grants and funding?

This new eight week e-learning course is aimed at Sports Development professionals. If you have a club development role and regularly advise Clubs on how to attract funding this accredited short course is for you! With case studies from rugby, rowing, hockey and netball, you’ll be part of an online classroom led by a sports funding expert, covering:

Good practice in giving funding advice and diagnosing Clubs funding needs
Where to signpost Clubs to apply for funding
How to give feedback on draft applications
How to appraise a club development plan

Assessment and Accreditation

The course is accredited by the NCFE. Certification requires completion of three online worksheets and a learner diary. All assignments are submitted via the internet. Feedback is given to you in the same way, so you receive speedy and secure feedback on your learning. All assignments are designed to help you learn and apply concepts from the course to your own practice. The learner diary gives you the opportunity to demonstrate knowledge, understanding and skills you have developed during the course.
